A Story from the Alley
In the late 1970s, as Japan's economy surged, small neighborhood businesses thrived. Our little corner on the web simulates the feeling of walking into a tiny, softly-lit Izakaya or a cozy family home decorated with bright, bold floral prints.
The Showa era means "radiant Japan" (or "enlightened peace"), and its latter half is remembered affectionately for these warm, nostalgic designs—often referred to as 'retro pop'.
The Technology
Underneath the neon glare and the falling Sakura leaves (yes, 60 of them!), this site runs on pure modern HTML5 and vanilla CSS. No frameworks, just good old fashioned craftsmanship.
